not always, but sometimes when i resume my PC from hibernating, it will crash on boot up. generally it is on the login screen, but occasionally it will be after that.
also, on a probably related note. if my computer has recently gone into hibernation, and i turn my monitor and speakers off at the wall (speakers arent even connected to the PC though) the computer will come out of hibernation.
anyone got any ideas what could be causing this other than a faulty install of windows (which is what i have suspected the problem is ever since my graphics driver problems?
*edit*
meant to ask, would installing service pack one solve my problems, and would it give me any other problems?
*edit 2*
when i hibernated the PC this morning, everything went just fine. i turned the PC off at the plug (but not at the switch at the back though). then i turned the monitor and speakers off and the CPU fan spun up for a second and the blue LED lit up
am i right in thinking there might be a problem with the socket its plugged into?
(it booted up just fine this afternoon though)
