PC OS crash

just did it again, this is starting to annoy me now got some new ram whats arrived ill take out the old 4gb and try the new one what are the same type but these say 1.5v on the side.. -_-

Best of luck mate.

I'm running the same ram myself but not sure what voltage mine is. I did change the voltage and some other setting to get it running at 1600mhz, but can't remember exactly as it's been a fair few months.

Will check my rig when I get home and post voltage of the ram and what settings I'm using.

so been running the new ram for atleast 20 hours or so now, everything seems fine no freezes currently, if this carries on how would i RMA the ram if ive got no proof it has errors through Memtest.

also because one set of ram is rated for 1.65 and the other 1.5 would that cause any problems, if i was to RMA them and get another 1.65v pair.

appreciate all the help you guys have gave me

Seems good then, not sure how you'd go about RMA the bad ram without a memtest screen, even though I had a screen of memtest failing I didn't even bother in the end, £10 to send it back just wasn't worth it, so I took it as a loss and won't buy OCZ products again as a result.

Not sure about the different voltages of the same type of ram working together well or not - I'd have to assume no, but would be interested to know myself as am going to get an extra 4 gig of the same ram myself pretty soon.

.

just emailed the retailer, explaining how i ordered the 1.5v ram and i recieved 1.65v but only just found out now.

wonder if they'll replace them with 1.5v but because there faulty i guess they'll just ask me to rma them to corsair we'll see tho! reply shouldnt be far off currently.

and still no pc crashs! this feels so good

these are the ones what are faulty i told them the situation and they asked me to rma the 1.65v pair to them, the 1.5v what i got the otherday are working like a charm
