I have recently built my new PC, currently I am using the HDMI port on the motherboard (MPOWER Z87) to output. I do not have a monitor at the moment so I am having to use my 26" BUSH LCD TV as a temporary monitor.
I have noticed that once I boot the machine and then leave it idle for some time, when I come back the monitor is black with a white message reading "no input device detected" however sometimes when I move the mouse or press a key on the keyboard, my connection is re-established.
Also, more often that not when I boot my machine and then turn on the TV, it detects nothing until I am forced to press the restart button (even the keyboard and mouse movements will not wake it)
Can anyone explain what the issue is here, I have checked the PC screen saver settings and there are none in place, so I'm not sure whey when I do nothing it looses the HDMI connection, and why when I turn it on there is no connection.
Is there a setting somewhere that I can change to stop this happening as I do not want to be re-booting my machine every time my tv looses its connection!
