Hi, i have the PC-P50R case and i would like to add a fan in the 5" drive bay. What can I do?

Are there any angle brackets you can buy that will mount to that area?

It cant be mounted directly against the front of the case because there are removable slots.

My top gtx 460 seems to hit 80c so I would like to know the best option for cooling it down.

Also, are there any programs that will let you change your chassis fan speeds. I have tryed speedfan but it only detects the cpu fan.

Any help would be appreciated.

Yea, I am considering that but i kinda wanted to avoid it because it wont be as good airflow because of the hdd cages in the way. Probably will do that though.

Thanks.

I don't know of any angle brackets for 5.25" bays for this case and it's not like you should need it anyway as you have two huge 140mm fans sitting on the top drawing air out (so any air coming into the case through a 120mm at the top front will get sucked out immediately by the exhaust fans).

If you really want to cool down your video card the cheapest and crudest method is to get another 120mm tide it to the side of you case or video card with cable ties so it directly blows air on to the video card. It might be easier to buy some new thermal paste and replace the generic gunk with some MX3 if your worried about temps. The PC-50R is a good case but GPU cooling is it's weak point (not to mention the bloody side panel! So stiff!)

I agree. It has weak cooling for around the pci area. With an nh-d14 cpu cooler in it blocks air rising so easily. So the 2 top exhausts arent as effective in my case.

I was wondering. Are the additional hard drive cages with fan exactly the same as the one already in my case? Will it fit directly above the one already fitted?

Once you remove the 3 x caddies the airflow is hardly affected at all.

All you need is a fan and a few cable ties. I fitted a 120mm Arctic Cooling F12 in the 5.25" bays above the hdd cage using this method to both my PC-P50B and my CM Scout.

This is the Scout.

It does'nt look pretty but who cares as you can't see it anyway?

That's something to consider would look nice if it was a red led fan through the front of my case

Mine does'nt either. Only the tops of mine are held using cable ties. The lower part of the fan is held by a thick piece of double sided sticky stuff.

The PC-P50 is not a very good case in my opinion. Mine vibrates like mad, the side panel fitting is rubbish for a case that's supposed to be high quality and cable management could be much better. That lip running along the rear lower end of the mobo tray is just too big and the main 24pin cable forces a bulge in the side panel. I rate my CM Scout more than my PC-P50. I am looking at replacing mine for something else not Lian Li.
