Hi.

I have a 360 pad, a PS3 pad and a Streetfighter Anniversary pad.

However none of these I get on with too well for games like Super Meat Boy and Electronic Super Joy which I bought last night off Steam (http://store.steampowered.com/app/244870/).

Basically I find the D-pad too clunky on the 360 and SF pads, and don't like the "missing" bit in the centre of the PS D-pad.

Can anyone recommend a pad with a decent, "tight" d-pad like the one on the old SNES pad?

(either this of I just fail at platformers and am in denial...)

Thanks.

I thought the whole point of using a controller was for the analogue stick? I don't really see a difference between a dpad and a keyboard in your case.

Xbox pad is perfect for Super meat boy I find.

Being able to use the analogue stick for degrees of movement is so useful for harder levels. You may as well use a keyboard if you're just going to use the d-pad.

I say. Practice. :p

Yeah I have heard that a few people play Streetfighter using the analogue stick which I find crazy tbh - perhaps I'm getting too old for this shizzle lol.

The thing with hard, "twitchy" platformers that need really quick inputs like Super Meat Boy etc with the analogue stick you have to move it from left to right or whatever rather than depressing the d-pad. This takes too long - for me at least...

Pad suggestions welcome...

heh, perhaps your right ;)

Still, I wonder if you can get a SNES pad equivalent for the PC...

Time for Google...

Oh, if you're talking about Street Fighter then yeah that's different. Ideally you want an arcade stick for that which I'm sure you know. When I said analogue stick I meant for platformers like Super Meat Boy.
