Hi
I decided it was about time I upgraded my old Q6600, so I purchased the following:
- i5 4670k
- Asus Z87 Pro Motherboard
- GSkill Ripjaw X Series 2x4GB 1600 DDR3
This was added to what I already have which is
- 850W Corsair CMPSU-850TXUK
- MSI HD 7850 Twin Frozr III OC 2048MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card
I took old the old motherboard etc, installed the new one, the CPU, RAM and put my existing graphics card in. I then hooked up all the cables.
My problem his when I hit the power the fans spin up and a few lights on the motherboard come then it switches off. I push the button again this time it turns on but there is no post and there is one beep from the motherboard.
I have tried only to have one of the RAM sticks in and also tried replugging in all the cables. The only thing I can think of is maybe the PSU doesn't work with the motherboard and or CPU, but surely 850w is powerful enough?
