Hello,
I have upgraded my setup over the last year or so when i've been able to, part by part. I currently have...
Windows 10 64bit pro
Asus M5A78L-M/usb3 mobo
AMD FX-8350 8 core
16gb ram 4 x 4gb ddr3
radeon rx 480 8gb gpu
A new corsair CX 750 psu
aoc freesync 144hx monitor.
Every game I have suffers from massive FPS drop. It will play at 100fps then drop to around 30-40fps which causes stuttering. Then it goes back up and then down and repeats throughout. My mobo maxes at around 70oC. GPU maxes at around 60oC and CPU at around 60oC. So i'm not sure it is heat related. I've applied new thermal paste too. I've reinstalled all my drivers and updated the bios.
I know my mobo is very budget. Do you think it would help if I upgraded it? I'm not quite sure what the problem is. I've been looking for a while on the internet and can't find anything that pin points it to one thing.
Thanks.
