PC powering down before POST?

Hi,

My PC seems to have decided to die overnight. I shut it down normally last night, and then this morning when turning it back on it appears to be dead :(

Initially, pressing the power button did absolutely nothing. Unplugging the PC from the wall and then plugging it back in again brought it back to life to some extent, but it just powers on, then powers off before POST. Sometimes it'll come back to life for less than a second just after powering itself down, but it never stays on. Once it's done this the power button does absolutely nothing.

I've tried unplugging all the harddisks, memory, sound card, graphics card and none of these make a difference.

When it shuts down the power light on the motherboard stays on and the fan in the PSU keeps going (this is normal, it's an old Enermax where the fan keeps going for a couple of minutes after shutdown).

The motherboard is an ASUS P5Q with a Q6600 in it and the PSU is a ~6 year old 485W Enermax.

I have a feeling it's the PSU, but before I buy a replacement does anyone have any other ideas?

Thanks! :)
