As title and consistently it just dies. No shut down just dies. Replaced PSU and now it won’t turn on via front button.

However, if i press the motherboard button on the back it will start, but won’t stay on and powers off the instant i remove my finger.

Error code d6 indicator suggests GPU but no obvious issues as seems to work.

ROG Strix X670E-E motherboard

Issue isn’t windows as same issue happens at BIOS level and safe mode.

Appreciate some ides as lost

I will do that and have tested the GPU (4090), memory (DDR5 6000) and PSU (replaced old 1200 with new 1200) and all are working fine. It hasn’t moved and has been working fine for 2 years and just started playing up. The BIOS has been redone (had to hold my finger on the rear panel for it to stay on, but will reseat the 7800X3D to remove that. Nothing obvious on the motherboard but just won’t turn on anymore using front power or motherboard on/off button, only the BIOS rear panel button and as soon as I remove my finger it shuts down.

The only button that turns it on and needs me to hold it down to stay in, is the BIOS FLBK button with the white box around it.

I was just thinking the same sort of thing - if there was an intermittent short on the power button, it might explain the seeming spontaneous shutdowns and problems starting up.
When i remove the on off button though it still doesn’t work so it’s not that.

Let's see what happens tomorrow but nothing from DPD yet and I usually get emails confirming it's being collected etc and nothing.

No biggie.
