Hey Overclockers, I wonder if you could advise me.

I installed a new graphics card today, Sapphire HD 7950, upgrading from my previous 460 GTX.

Everything seemed to be working fine until I tried playing a game and each and every time the computer will power down and power up again a few seconds later.

In the Event Viewer it lists the problem as "Kernel - Power".

I ran various tools to check the temperatures of the CPU and GPU and they all seemed normal so after reading around it's looking to me like it may be the PSU causing the problem.

I have an Everest 85 Plus 800 and before heading out and trying to get another PSU does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks in advance

I am using an MSI - P55 CD53 (MS - 7586), Core Temp seems to be suggesting the CPU is using 73 Watts and is at 40 degrees currently while idling.

look in the bios for cpu voltage and dram voltage

if p55 you might need a touch more cpu memory controller voltage aswell, temps are fine

Looks ok but can't see CPU memory controller voltage or qpi/vtt,what's the memorys rated voltage? I'd manually set dram to what's printed on the memory ,1.5 or 1.65v

If you have a spare one,it could be psu or a CPU/memory setting not right

Be sure to use the latest motherboard BIOS aswell
