im new to the pc scene and brought my first ever gaming pc second hand about a year ago, it was just something to start off with until i could build a better one in the future, when i first brought it cable management was horrible but i didnt really care as it worked as a pc, but recently the cabling began to grow on me and became a problem, so i look through some tutorials on how to build one etc and decided to sort my cables out, i got them to a point where i was happy as it was as clean as i was gonna get it, after plugging everything back in and went to turn it on, the pc powered up, fans were spinning etc including the gpu, but there was no signal from the gpu to the monitor, and no power going to the keyboard and mouse, being new to pc's etc i have no clue what the issue could be, any help would be much appreciated, many thanks.

1. Remove GPU and use onboard
2. Once powered on, unplug mouse & KB adn plug back in

What's the spec?
Overclocked anything?

It could be worth taking a few pictures, we might be able to spot what you have missed.

Some possible cables that might cause the issues you describe are.

The power cable(s) that plug into the side of the GPU
The power cable that plugs into the motherboard near the CPU (normally 4 pin cable)
There's obviously the big 24 pin connector, but I doubt you could forget about that one lol.

I think most other cables would at least let you hit the bios screen if they weren't plugged in.

If its a modular PSU, then check the cable connections to the PSU itself.

Trying the onboard video as suggested is a good idea (assuming you have it). You might not have to remove the GPU, just plugging the video cable into the motherboard I/O rather than the GPU should work fine.
