Hey guys/gals I moved my pc from one room to another all went well nothing was dropped etc but i noticed that when i plugged everything in the new room the pc would not beep and boot up. Everything starts up but there is no beep and it doesnt boot up.

I have removed all hardware apart from the graphics including the memory and once again no beep. I have had all on except the graphics card and the pc gives graphics error beep. Last resort I tried moving the graphics card to the other pci express slot and I always get graphical error beep. No matter how many times I try resetting the bios im not having much luck.

Here is my pc

amd 64 3500+
Dfi Lanparty Ultra-D Pci-Express Mobo
Corsair xms3200 2x1Gig dual channal
Sound Blaster Audigy
Maxtor 160 gig
Seagate 80 barracuda
nec DVD-rrw/+rrw
plextor cd-rw

If anyone could offer any advice or what the problem exactly could be id appreciate it so much. Also if you could advise me on the quickest and best way to reset the bios id appreciate that so much aswell (just incase im doing it wrong)

Sounds to me like something has come lose, I would imagine its something not plugged in fully.

I remember reading something once about someone who moved a monitor and knocked dust around, this then shorted out a circuit, obviously because your spec is fairly up to date i doubt that is it

thing is ive checked everything and unplugged everything and put it back in so i doubt really it could be that.

Do you mean inside the PC too?

Cos really if you move it and then it doesn't boot that is the only obvious reason, that something has come loose.

yup inside the pc aswell. The thing ive noticed dunno if its related to it in any way. There are several pins at the bottom left ontop of debug and there are 4 lights. 3 of them switch on and one remains flashing for a while.

after checking the dfi street forums followed the instructions to manually reset the bios. Now just get graphics card failures so im presuming the graphics card has died. I just dont understand it the three times ive moved my pc something has died. First time was the graphics card second time was the motherboard and once again probably the graphics card. So strange and we are talking about moving from one room to another :S

dont ever go into removals :)

perhaps when you unplug things ** not giving it a few seconds before u disconnect the power cable and just pulling it out so immediately the power goes hence you lose some hardware?

Now just get graphics card failures
what are these gfx card failures? Weird lines across the screen?
