My PC has been locking up and restarting itself for a little while now, seems like quite a random isssue but I've just been putting that down to Vista being rubbish.
It locked up today and seems to have corrupted the windows registry, on bootup I get a message saying I need to boot from the windows DVD to repair it, fair enough...
However, when I boot up, past the memory test and BIOS entry screen I have no use of the keyboard until I get into windows. On the safe mode option screen I have no use of the keyboard and when it says "press any key to boot from the CD" I'm unable to do so. So it seems from the BIOS to entering windows the keyboard doesn't work.
I've tried multiple keyboards, both USB and PS2 but they all do the same thing.
I've got an Abit AB9 chip with a 2.4ghz core 2 duo...
