I just rebooted my pc and it's hanging on the boot screen

Main Processor : Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU E8500 @ 3.16GHz(333x9.5)

That's what it is hanging on, i have just tried different memory, and no luck. Any ideas? I can't get into bios, or safe mode, or anything.
 
Oh dear...the SECOND i posted this, the other pc booted up, how ironic....But still it hung on it for at least 10 minutes, any ideas what could have caused it? (And the time getting from the WINDOWS XP logo, and into windows was like 90 seconds, its usually 1 or 2...
 
I once had a problem like this and oddly i turned out to be my PSU :) Try shutting down does it take *FOREVER*

Also run a game that you know your pc can handle is that laggy?
 
Windows update ?

Just remove your battery for a mo & re set everything.
