WIN XP, GT 8800, MSI mobo, 4 GB RAM, FX 64
there's a problem with oveclocking that wasn't there before...... i've downloaded the latest Drivers for my card....and upgraded Riva tune to 2.24.
but card will not not overclock any more..... riva tuner sais ``upload latest version, drivers do not comply with this version``...this is the latest version! .....but i've never really understood riva tune anyway.
the NVIDIA version will alllow me to overclock but not to adjust the fan speeds...plus it sais when i ask it to test the card ``gpu test failed``....it wont even give me the optimum overclock ``overclock failed``.... it also doesn't tell me how far i should overclock CPU/ MOBO........it's just a sliding scale.
as a result when i overclock now.... the picture goes all pixillated and freezes up...within about 20 seconds, but it's ok on stock settings.
i'm looking for an easy to use software that allows me to overclock/ adjust all fan speeds easily ...the riva tune version is too complicated....too much detail..... plus when you do overclock on both softwares... there no warning that sais ``you're overclocking too far``...basically, i've no idea what i'm doing....
