I brought this PC from overclockers back 2011 and I have had no problems until last weekend. When I turn it on it starts to load but after a short period it reboots itself. The amount of time before it reboots varies and once it booted into windows before it crashed.

It is has an i5 2500k that is overclocked and I guess it is possibly something overheating.

Can anyone help me resolve this?

you'll need to clear the cmos

you'll lose your oc/settings but there's no choice imo

find the motherboard battery pinch the metal clips together and lift out the battery, leave it out for 10 minutes then put back in and powerup pc

someone can help you oc it again later, ill help if its a gigabyte board

it seems like its crashed and corrupted the cmos

I removed the CMOS battery and put it back in again after 15 minutes but no luck :(

The computer was on long enough to display a screen saying the settings have been removed and set back to default then it just kept crashing like it did before.

Any more ideas? If it is overheating how can i tell?

When I leave it for a few hours before turning it on it takes longer to crash.

if you removed the battery then the sata setting may have changed from ahci to ide

edit: assuming it was installed in ahci mode
