pc problems help plz

Right it only started like 2 days ago but all of a sudden my pc is really slow to start up ive got to wait for a while to use the internet and i keep getting a memory error message come up.
Also i cant play any of my games cause the dvd drive doesnt seem to respond like know green flashing light?
I thought it was norton so i got rid of it and put nod32 on and still no difference, plz help

Try unplugging DVD and reboot and see if your system boots normal.......
