Pc problems - Need new card (£200)

If you can't afford the 660ti then by all means go for the 660. They're good cards.

You could risk the silicon lottery with a Radeon but there's not much point. The 660 will do everything the 7850 can.

I am going to point the finger at your Sound card/mobo and not your GPU.

My reasoning...I had an Asrock Ext 4 Gen 3 mobo and the onboard sound stopped working. I tried all manner of fixes to no avail and aggressively drove 30 mins to buy the cheapest sound card I could.

Installed and everything sound wise was working (along with everything else). A few hours later and in a game, the sound started to go all stuttery and next thing I knew, I crashed. My system was always stable till I added the soundcard. I uninstalled the sound card and removed it and no more crashing.

I tried the sound card in the wifes computer and no probs at all but my mobo didn't like the sound card at all.

Anyways, I would certainly try the GPU in another computer (beg someone if you have to), just to make sure you are not blaming something it isn't. A 560TI is still a good enough card.

yeh, the thing is its a complete reinstall without the s/card installed which has helped but my thoughts are that the gfx card may be throwing everything else off? if the card still gives off the same issues i can always send it back i guess.

Cheers guys for the pointers, might get the 660ti version of that KFA2, if im spendin that price on it i may aswell loose one nut for the extra dunt :P

Cheers guys.
