I'm using a HP Compaq D530 in the small form factor. I would post in the section for this, but I'm thinking it's more of a Windows problem.
Anyway, the problem lies with the fact the CPU is always running at 100% when I have Windows Media player (9) open. The desktop used to be able to run this and multiple apps before, but now it's so slow when WMP is open and unusable. Also, it's extremly slow when using WMP, selecting songs etc.
I have ran a spyware detector and nothing has appeared, so where does the problem lie? I have closed WMP and it's now at a steady 2-5%, but still runs pretty slow. am I going to be forced to use Winamp?
Like I said, it used to work fine.

P4 2.4Ghz
504MB Ram
Everything else standard.
