PC Problems

So, im having a few 'glitches' with my rig.

Its 'lagging' whilst doing nothing.

I can be playing music/watching a film/gaming/on the net. Music stutters and buzzes, and mouse starts to lag and what ever else im doing stutters, and its random. No CPU spikes whilst its happening either. Ive checked Task Manager for 'odd' tasks and nothing is there! PC was defraged last night, and the problem still persists, its driving me insane!!

Virus/Malware scan been done lately?

And i think this would be more suited to the "General hardware" section.

Yes, just done a complete scan, and nothing is detected. Ive had a thought though. CPU might be unstable! Its been OC'd at 4.7Ghz through the winter, now its warming up, it might be wonky, allthough its under water (120.3 for JUST the CPU).

Reset to default and test then - if it's fine you've found your problem.

hows this for a WTF moment. I havnt knocked or bashed my PC at all, and just went into bios to have a ganders and EVERYTHING was reset to default! So that might be my problem, back running at full speed again, but still the odd 'glitch'...but its NOT happening in games...only films/music etc....

Ever restarted itself?
Sometimes goes back to default after a bsod.

Nope. Allthough the other WEEK it had a fit where audio locked up completely, and i restarted to be met with 'Boot drive failed' or something like that, hit reset and all was fine.. :confused:
