I had been having problems for a while, some times when I was playing pretty intensive games the pc would lock up and the screen would usually turn into vectors shooting about the screen.
This didn't happen too often just every couple weeks usually.
Since moving flat though I've had problems with my RAM and removing the faulty stick seemed to make it work ok for a while.
Now it won't even post to the screen though. All the fans spin though and there are no abnormal beeping noises.

My PC is about 3years old now and I was looking to upgrade pretty soon. Should I try salvage some of the components or just go for a new build?

Fully unplugged everything and gradually put in components.
2 sticks of RAM were faulty.
Borrowed a friends graphics card and managed to get in to OS no problem.

Should I put the cash in to buying more RAM and a GFX? Or is it just worth buying a whole new rig?
