For a while now, I've had what I think is a hardware issue, but not sure how to pinpoint it.

Machine really struggles to open pages and folders from start, then speeds up after about 10 mins. Then goes in and out of this faze all night.

i7
8gb DDR3
SSD

I use
CC Cleaner
Spybot
Ncleaner
AVG
Start up on the minimum

So far I've, changed SSD, changed out the RAM, changed Video card and re pasted the CPU.

So I'm down too a struggling CPU, motherboard or PSU.
How do I go about testing or narrowing it down, or any other ideas on what this might be.

Thanks in advance.

Hi, it was a fresh install when I changed the hard drives. Was not impressed when I still had the same click and wait 5-10 mins for a page or folder too open.

Are these files and folders on your ssd or hdd? Check your hdd health.
Also, what Psu do you have and how old is it?
Have you also tried using a different data cable or sata connector?
Just trying to cover some obvious causes.

Thanks for your time mate, I do need to thrash this out with somebody.
Files and folders are on both, I do admit to having 1 ssd and 3 hd's.

I've swapped the sata's around.
I am on my second PSU on this setup, it's a OCZ Stealth X stream 700W and I'd guess it to be over a year old.
I don't run 24/7 but it's not far off.
I have to go off line now, work early :(
Cheers

Well, started it up in safe mod and it ran well, as it should opening folders right away and speeding though tasks.
Started it up again normal, and back to dragging it's heels.
Anybody have any ideas?
Thanks in advance.
