I've just had the fun task of fixinf my younger sisters PC, she uses this at University and during her somewhat extensive use of their very fast broadband service she managed to aquire herself a rather intresting new variant of the Vundo malware trojan.
The University prior to connecting her decided to remove her version of Norton that she got free with the PC (yipee!) and instead installed some rubbish cut down version of Mcafee called Mcafee Enterprise.
I use the full falvour Mcafee at home and have had not a single issue with it but obviously this one she has got is a bit rubbish, after all she managed to get a virus.
Anyway I have managed to remove and clean the PC of Vundo and have also decided to ditch the duff torn apart Mcafee and have opted to go for some of the free stuff that's out there.
After much looking about I have settled on AVAST as her AV and Comodo as her FW.
Is this a good combination or should I be looking elsewhere, any advice muchly appreciated on this matter, thanks.
