My PC has randomly shutdown twice in the last 10 minutes while playing Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2, however when I reboot windows doesn't give me the message that it 'experienced an unexpected shutdown'. This has happend to me before, and I had to buy a new PSU to fix it, I bought the same model but 750w instead of 850w.

It's a Corsair 850w TX series, what's happening to my PC? ):

Okay, I couldn't post anything because I think my GTX 570 is completely dead. When I was about to post, a game of MW2 started (went from menu into a level), and it shut down, then I smelt burning, I couldn't find out where the smell was comming from but I'm 95% sure it is from my GTX 570 from smelling it after taking it out.

So now I have put my old GTX 460 in and after going through windows repair and finally booting into windows again, I heard a lot of different squeeling and buzzing from the PSU.

Could it be the PSU is faulty and has taken down my GTX 570 with it?

edit: My temps are fine, GTX 570 never passes 91 and i7 never passes 80c

Where exactly should I look in event viewer?

edit: My GTX 570 also goes louder than it ever has if I try to boot my PC with it installed now.

My GTX 460 is running fine now for 20 minutes in Modern Warfare 2.

Isn't the GTX 570 the issue then?
