Hi guys,

I've noticed something this past week with my newly built PC and can't seem to figure out why it's happening. I'll use my PC, shut it down and it will power itself off. However after like 12hours maybe longer the pc will just switch itself on again.

At first I thought it was maybe one of the kids, accidently hitting power switch when dusting or something like that. However it's been shut down since Sunday night and no one has been near it till this morning and it was on. It wasn't on yesterday morning before I went to work. But sometime between yesterday morning and this morning it has come back on.

I was laughing and joking about it when it first happened saying I had bought a Knight Rider style PC because I says on the phone on my way home when I get in I'll be going on the PC and when I walked into the room it was booting up.

I was thinking about the lines of maybe it's not actually shutting down but going into Hibernation? But I am using the shut down option from the windows 8 menu so I see no reason for it to go into hibernation instead of shutting down.

I'll have a look through the BIO's I'm using the MSI Z97I board so it maybe something linked through the killer LAN settings?

It's probably powering on via USB. My media PC does this if I touch the mouse by accident.

Only have my Razor Blackwidow Ultimate and Cyborg R.A.T 7 mouse connected via the back USB ports. The mouse is connected to the normal USB slot on the back of the board and the keyboard requires 2x connections and is connected to one that's labelled SS USB but have no idea what that is.

No one has been in the room to touch mouse of keyboard, or would they not need to be touched?
