Hello,
I'm in dire need of a second opinion on a major issue with my PC (newish build - approx 6 months old). The PC keeps turning off at random internals; identical to what happens if you turn it off at the plug. After turning off it also fails to boot a couple of times, before finally powering back up.
Specification below:
Intel Core i5-6600K @ 3.5GHz
Corsair H60
MSI Z170A Gaming Pro Carbon
Corsair Vengeance LPX 8GB DDR4-3000 x 4
Samsung 850 EVO-Series 250GB 2.5" SSD x 2
MSI GeForce GTX 1070 ARMOR 8G OC 8GB
NZXT Air Flow Series 59.1 CFM 120mm Fan x 1
EVGA SuperNOVA G2 650W 80+ PSU
My CPU was originally overclocked to 4.5GHz but I've reduced that to stock; problem still persists. Unfortunately there doesn't appear to be any kind of pattern, as it has turned off under load and while sat dormant in the desktop or BIOS.
All roads seem to point towards a faulty PSU? The only problem is that I don't have another PSU to test.
Thoughts before I start the RMA process?
Thanks.
