i built my computer with your help 5 years ago and have upgraded bits and pieces since.
I have not overclocked anything and over the last few weeks i start experiencing random shut downs whereby, the computer just turns directly off. Lights are still on the motherboard and I am not able to turn the pc back on unless i clear CMOS.
I have a crosshair v formula motherboard which i have never upgraded.
I am getting enough power with a 1000w power supply and the plug plugged directly into the mains (no extension cord).
The processer is not overheating as you can see from the openhardwaremonitor report below.
It can happen after an hour of use but usually as soon as i turn the computer on, and once it happens then it will continue to happen unless i leave the computer for a long time.
I have made sure no cables are being pulled and all ram is inplace correctly.
