When I put in both sticks of ram (G.Skill RipjawsX C9 12800 2x4Gb) The pc will try to boot but never post. I removed all of the ram and it gives the PC beep to tell me that there is a problem with the ram, hopefully crossing out a motherboard problem. When trying one stick at a time, I manage to boot successfully in to the BIOS and can get right into windows also. However, when I put the other stick of ram in the same slot instead of the one that works, the PC goes back to a looping reboot with no posting.

I have enabled XMP in the bios and checked that the voltages weren't out of spec for the ram, but the fact that I can boot on one stick and not the other has me confuddled.

Anyone think this is a guaranteed RMA for the memory?

Spoke to OCUK this morning, and I've decided to buy new memory and return the old stuff once I recieve it. At least I can now continue getting on with setting my rig up :D

Memory is borked - mobo is fine. 99% confident that the new memory will work fine assuming that the mobo is compatible with the exact 2x4GB configuration (most mobos have an approved memory list)
