Hi all,
I have had my current system running with no flaws for at least 8 months in its current incantation (E6600, 4gb RAM, 8800GTS, 3x HDD, 2 x DVD ROM, 485w PSU).
It ran fine this morning. I shut it down, came back this afternoon and it refuses to boot. There are no motherboard beeps at all (so not a memory/GPU seating/CPU seating problem), and I can hear the HDDs beginning to spin, but nothing appears on the screen at all. The CPU fan spins a bit, then stops, then spins a bit, then stops. I've tried unplugging all devices apart from absolute essentials, to no avail.
Now, this seems to me like a PSU problem (my PSU wattage is a bit low for all the components I have), but would the PSU even conduct power at all if it were borked? Other than that I have no idea what this could be - perhaps a motherboard problem?
I would appreciate your help!
Many thanks,
-C
