PC regularly freezes on motherboard splash page

Regularly, about 1 in 5 bootups, the PC stops at the "Gigabyte Ultra Durable Series Motherboards" BIOS splash page: [1], and doesn't continue booting. The BIOS keys don't function either.

When this happens I hit the restart button, and it usually finishes booting as normal on the second attempt. The PC is about 3 years old.

Does anyone have any idea what causes this? Should I be worried? Is there a fix?

I have an older PC running a Gigabyte G1 Sniper M3 board and that too sometimes does the same, although admittedly it is far less often than 1 in 5. Personally I wouldn't worry unless it starts doing it even after resetting the pc but thats just my opinion. Is the pc overclocked currently and getting enough voltage on starting up?

Thanks for the help! I think I'll hold off resetting the CMOS unless the problem seems to become more frequent.

The PC is not overclocked, no.

I've had the same issue since I got an MSI X99S SLI Plus 18 months ago.
I usually have to press the reset button 2 or 3 times before it boots into W10. Several BIOS updates and multiple CMOS resets haven't improved matters.
I've got round it by putting the PC into SLEEP mode rather than switching off so it only becomes a problem if I have to reboot following a software update.
