PC Remote Control recommendations?

Hey guys, was wondering if someone could recommend me a decent Remote Control for my PC, the kind I can use to fast forward, rewind and the like movie files in Windows Media Player, Media Player classic and VLC.

Well my s510 works from downstairs (can control winamp with it when i go to make tea etc)
