Hi all,

Having issues with pc restarting itself when trying to load a game (Warzone) or during a game (Rust)
new Build apart from GPU,

Parts as follows,

Asus Rog Strix B550-A Gaming
AMD ryzen 5 5600x
Team group Night Hawk RGB 16GB
Raijintek leto pro RGB led 120mm CPU cooler
Kolink Modular power supply 700w 80plus bronze

GPU Sapphire RX480 8gb Nitro + OC, Card runs with no issues in a 2nd Machine.

Restarts occur only when running a game. Thanks for any help in advance.

Check Event Viewer for more serious errors timed near those reboots and also reliability history.
Did you configure memory settings properly in BIOS? (voltage and XMP)

Also that cheap crap brand PSU is suspect of not being able to handle GPU's power draw spikes.

Worth running a memtest to check the CPU/RAM is stable. Otherwise I'd look at the PSU.

No experience of the Kolinks so can't comment on the quality.

Thanks all for reply’s.
Manually Selected memory settings in bios to match rather than Auto setting.
I have tried a modular Corsair 600w (spare unit) PSU and a Corsair modular 650w (runs a current setup i5 and the rx480) and still same restarts.

event log points to CPU
Going to down load and install mobo updates again and also bios

Morning all.
Just to update, I re-flashed Bios and walked through all settings, did come across a problem with the drives becoming recognised but not bootable (scratched head for a while before I realised a uefi - gpt selection problem). I feel I had previously been lazy and overlooked basic things. So with this re-installed windows and all board drivers etc, threw the kolink out the window (keep it for an emergency) and everything is working well.

so this system is for a friends lad as his current pc is very old running a r9 200 gpu. Now idea would be when stock and prices settle to add a new gpu (3060 or better), but is it worth the money to add a 1050ti (seen on Overclockers for 230 I think). He wants to run games like Warzone, COD and Rust. Was seeing if there’s something to run these games at a low price until the GPU market comes back to some sort of normality.

The above RX480 previously posted was from another system to test.
