PC Restarts

Not sure whether to ask in here or in the games area.

For some reason whey I play Mass Effect on my PC, it'll every now and again just freeze and either crash back to the desktop or need to be restarted. Is it something to do with overheating? My graphics card maybe? Its an 8800GT. I don't have this problem on any other game or situation, just Mass Effect.

My system temperature is 43 and my CPU temperature is 41.

Just done it again after a restart and general web browsing for a half hour.

Could be a PSU failure if it happens during web browsing. Can you post your spec?

Sorry, I meant I restarted my PC and did some general web browsing for a while before playing Mass Effect again, and it restarted whilst playing again

It sounds as if your PC is going into a bluescreen. The default is to reboot when one occurs rather than to show you the error.

I would turn off the auto restart option and check out the stop code. Or alternatlivly there should be a log in the event logs with the codes.

Maybe drivers.

i always have errors in my log, unure on how to fix.
