My r9 390x arrived this morning with my harbour and Im extremely pleased with performance. Every game 1080p ultra.

But obviously running hotter than my old 7870. I've noticed after 5 mins running the games it is chucking out some serious heat out the top and back of case. My temp show 62c on gpu and 52c on cpu. But I'm worried about the vrm area for when I overclock. What should I be looking at in hwmonitor temp wise. All I see is tmp1 tmp2 and tmp3 but no idea what is what!

My cpu is fx 8350 and mobo is msi gaming 990fx.

OK I'll describe best I can. The case is phanteks enthoo lux. I have a 240 mm af in the front then two hdd and two ssd then two 120mm af fans. Then the rear has one 120mm fan. The top has 2x 140mm sp fans with 240 rad below and then 2x 120mm sp fans below that. The wc is attached to cpu only.

Also the top 4 fans and rad is exhaust as well as rear the three front fans are intake.

Edit. Guess this should be OK but wanted to make sure before I overclock cpu as I don't want my vrm temp to rise too much. What should I check for when looking at vrm temp?

" 62c on gpu and 52c on cpu" Nothing at all wrong with these temps....

The only thing to do is make sure that the air flow in your case is as un interrupted as possible and if you have filters fitted keep them clean to allow max air flow. even the position of your tower can have an impact so just make sure its as clears as it can be. in the room were I have my PC I do not have the radiator turned on at all as this keeps the ambient temperature lower.
