I had to reinstall windows the other day (was having loads of problems and it was probs, so reinstalled) at the same time i updated the BIOS as i noticed from the Gigabyte site i was a few bios versions behind and the newer ones were listed as fixing/improving bits etc).
Flashed the BIOS reset to defaults then went back to setup the bios settings disabling unused ports etc.
But the PC just seems slow from what it used to be.
I remember when i first got the board a few people on here said what settings to use for the memory speeds etc, but i stupidly never wrote them down before hitting load default in the bios.
I don't think i have got the BIOS setup right, as the PC was a lot faster with the settings i used , but now its like its struggles doing the same tasks.
Has anyone got and ideas on what settings i should use in the BIOS for the HW below
Gigabyte 965P DS3
Core 2 Duo 6600
2GB Geil PC6400 DDR2(2x 1gb dual channel kit) (http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MY-058-GL)
