My fiance has just upgraded her PC. Her current specs are:
- Gigabyte SKT775 Motherboard
- Intel Pentium Dual Core E6700 3.2GHz CPU
- 6GB Corsair DDR2 6400 Ram
- 64GB Crucial C300 SSD
- nVidia 8800GT 512MB Graphics Card
- Pioneer SATA DVDRW
We've installed a clean install of Windows 7 64bit on the SSD and it takes around 40 seconds to boot. We tried the SSD in a Dell PC with 2GB Ram and a Q6600 CPU a couple of weeks ago when we first got the SSD and it only took 27 seconds to boot on a clean install of Windows 7.
Could it just be the difference between a Dell Bios loading and the Gigabyte one or do you think it's more likely to be the Pentium Dual Core CPU compared to a Core 2 Quad?
