PC shorting :S

Hi guys I recently build my new rig and wanted to use the Gelid tranquillo cooler I had on the previous one. I installed it on the new one and as I turned it on for the first time.. the pc shorts instantly.. I placed the stock cooler and its all good.. so its probably 99.9% the insulation stickers which I could not remove from the old motherboard which is the problem.
Does overclockers sell any kind of standard stickers which I could use?? as I cannot obtain them from anywhere and I'd love to install it asap =/

put some standard electrical tape over the backplate or whatever plate its shorting on

You know the tape you buy that usually comes in packs of three and its coloured red or black or blue ect
