Hi,

This is the PC I bought a while ago, to primarily use for music production. However, in light of reading about the launch of the 8800gt I am considering using it as my gaming/internet PC (also because I didn't get it spec'd exactly to what I wanted for a DAW).

Q6600
2gb DDR2 667 Ram
320gb SATA HD
ASrock 4 core dual sata2 motherboard
Dual layer DVDrw drive

Would there be any visible problems to me sticking a 8800gt into this and then all systems go :D I am a little bit spectical about the mobo but in reality should it all be fine?

Thanks for any replies :)

if you can fit it in your case i don't see why not, whats your PSU?

Good question!! :D I sent an email off to the guy who built it earlier regarding the 8800gt and he said they use the same rig with the 8800gts and I wouldn't have any problems running it.

Its a Shinobi case + a 500 psu.

EDIT: you beat me to it. Thanks for the reply mate and taking the time to check the website :)

thats ok, happy to help. Been looking around and they reckon the GT will be the same size as the GTS but single slot cooling, and the GTS is smaller than the GTX. Therefore shouldn't have any problems on yoru case if your guy reckons you can fit a GTX in there.
