Hey,

I'm sure I have everything set to hide my PC and block any access to it via the network but currently it's still showing on my TV.

I may in the future set up a hard-drive to act as a media server just for my TV but how do I currently stop it, what settings do I need to check?

Any idea what protocol the TV is picking up?

Could try running services.msc, then find "Windows Media Player Network Sharing Service" stop and disable it.

If you want to block all network access cant you simply disconnect the network adapter?

Wouldn't that stop internet and other networked items like the printer? (bit n00bish that question I know)

Any idea how I would find out the protocol

Open the Network and Sharing Centre (right click Taskbar icon)

Advanced Sharing Settings
Media Streaming Options

Does that sort it for you?
