Hi. i've had my pc since 2013 and haven't really upgraded much except for the graphics card a couple of months ago which was done by the company which i bought my pc from. before changing the graphics card my pc wouldn't even turn on at all, but now after having it changed it shuts down randomly even when im just on youtube and when i try to turn it back on the lights go on for a couple of seconds and shuts back off. I have to leave it alone for half an hour or so for it to go back on. so i called them up and they said it was because of my power supply. is there a way to test if this is true or not? i already did gpu and cpu benchmarks but it completed them both without shutting off.

i'm not that great with pc hardware and it's my first time here so my bad if it's obvious... thanks.

My pc:
case: Cooler Master Silencio 550
power supply: 700 Watt Cooler Master voeding,
cpu: AMD Vishera FX-8350, Eight-Core,
motherboard: MSI 760GA-P43FX,
16GB DDR3 ,
SSD Samsung 840 Series 120GB, 2000 GB SataIII Hardeschijf,
Gpu: AMD Radeon HD 7970 3GB changed it to Nvidia gtx 1060 6gb

thanks for the reply, in the system event log everytime it has shut down it has 2 red which say: the following fatal alert was received: 70. and the second red one says: the following fatal alert was received: 80.

i havent really updated or touched the bios since i bought it mainly because i didnt want to mess something up, how do i update it?

i just opened my pc while it was turned on, and discovered the problem. the cpu fan wasn't spinning at all... i think this could still be a psu problem, because not enough power is going to that fan, no? and when i push the fan with my fingers it begins spinning slightly then it stops after a a couple of seconds
