PC "shutting down"

PC powers on as normal, the windows loading screen appears then it just goes into like a standby mode. Everything is still switched on and running but the screen goes off, and the only way of getting it working again is by restarting the machine?

Any ideas?

have you changed anything or did it just start randomly?

have you tried your system on a another monitor?

if everything is still on maybe your gfx card....

when i had that problem sorta it was my memory that was the issue..

try trying different memory.. or switching the modules around to different slots. reduce to stock speeds if clocked. bios defaults maybe. try and get into safe mode and revert any drivers to older drivers. mainly gfx card.

Everything is fine now. :confused:

Weird as last week I didn't get a signal on my gfx card.

Plugged the monitor into the onboard and it was fine.

After all these problems tonight, the gfx card is working again.

Madness! An excuse to upgrade to a nice new machine I think!
