My PC has started shutting down sometimes when I play games.

It then won`t start back up till i disconnect one of my GPUs then it works, then I reconnect it and its ok for a bit.

Also the Bios clock gets reset and the Bios too when it shuts down.

Is my PSU failing?

Sounds to me like a temperature issue. Is it a controlled shutdown or sudden? Is there any temperature sensing software loaded and check what the tolerences in the software are set to. It could be that the temp setting is too low and its doing a controlled shutdown because it thinks its going to overheat. Does everything run fine with one GPU? If so then it could be your temps building up inside are overheating your mobo if your system can't disipate the heat. If this is the case you may need more heat extraction or switch to water cooling.

Is it a new build or has it been working fine and just suddenly started? On the days when it does it is it hot outside and is the sun on your system?

Download CPUZ and monitor your core and GPU temps. Also, if you have an air gap in your CPU or your heat sync is not fitted correctly on your i7 then you again aren't getting the heat transfer so your CPU could be shutting down to protect itself.

Hope this helps.
