Hi all,

I’ve inherited a gaming PC. However, it’s not working properly, apparently it boots up and after a few minutes it shuts itself down. Does anyone know what could cause this issue? Might be a bit far fetched but some advice would be great.

CPU: i7 4790K

CPU Cooler: Corsair H80i GT Hydro Series

Motherboard: ASUS Z97 Pro Gamer

Graphics Card: GTX 1060 6gb

PSU: Corsair 650W CS Series 80+ Gold

RAM: 16GB Kingston Hyper Fury X Dual

Storage: 240GB Hyper X Savage SSD

Welcome to the forum. ;)
The first thing I would do is go into the bios and reset everything to Optimised Defaults. Then just check that the voltage for the memory is set correctly and save and restart.

Check that the PSU plug is firmly in, check that PSU fan is running, see how much dust there is in PSU.

Check that the pump on the liquid cooler (and the fan) is running. Should only take a few minutes to get very hot and shut down if the pump isn't working.

Search Reliability History within Windows, and see if there's any clue along with the shutdown report.
