Ok so when i have league of legends client on my cpu usage is around 15-20% but it tends to bug out and i have to wait for it to load something on the client and when that happens my cpu usage goes to 70% or more. my pc is so slow for ages now i remember playing the game year and a half ago on very high with over 60 fps now i play on 40-60 fps no matter the config in game

Welcome to the forum.

If your PC has been slow for ages, could be needing a fresh Windows install unless you've done so recently. If you go that route, and don't have an SSD, get one.

I'd imagine you've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game, and clean installing the latest graphics drivers?

List your specs, and the troubleshooting you may have already done, to help others help you.

Did you use to have more RAM before or always 4GB?* Has League of Legends been updated in the last year or so? Sometimes game graphics/engine are improved and they become a bit harder to run on older, budget hardware.

* 4GB really isn't enough these days except for browsing (with just a few tabs) and emails and the like. It could be something else in your specific case but that's one thing to try - borrow another 4GB DDR3 stick if there's an extra slot on the motherboard for it, and test.

What about temperatures on CPU and GPU when gaming?

When you say updated graphics card, what was the old graphics card?

you havent got a gaming computer, but 4gb is limiting for sure, but maybe other software on the computer is slowing it down?

Game didnt get any significant improvements and ye i always did have 4GB of ram league uses up only 700-800 mb of ram ingame and when im in game ram usage is average on 2.2 or 2.7 cant remember correctly look system requirements for the game you will see its a low spec game

when i was recently looking for AM1 processors i was basically told the processors are too weak to game which is pretty obvious given what that platform was aimed for, maybe see if that board supports overclocking and maybe buy an equivalent nvidia card to compare incase its a driver thing.

Yea but i played league on very high with 60 fps locked it could go up to 80-100 now even if i turn it down to very low its still basicly same fps overclocking i did but i cant overclock as they show on youtube i can only overclock it up to 2.2ghz or else it just crashes while some people OC on 2.5ghz with ease

Can you do a little performance checking? Run Task Manager and GPU-Z on a second monitor while you game. You want Task Manager to monitor the CPU, RAM, and disk usage, and GPU-Z the VRAM and the GPU usage. Do you have a SSD? How full is your SSD or HDD? All this will help determine where the problem lies.

ok so i couldnt prynt screen cuz it was just black idk why but i wrote down cpu gpu and ram usage
RAM:2.5gb in game usage
CPU: 30-60% depends if in fight or not
GPU:it is a bit wierd i never followed gpu usage but it tends to go from 0 to 80 to 12 to 100 random huge jumps
My hard disk is 500gb and i have 346 free i would have more but world of warcraft takes 41 gb
temperatures are fine not over 35°C

How about VRAM usage? Are you exceeding the VRAM of your GPU? How about GPU temperature? GPU-Z will show all these.

i just wanted to write my vram usage is around 290-330 and i have 2gb
not sure if that is normal for league because i set it on very low
and i remember downloading custom textures for league map everything was on 64x64 so everything was blurry but champions and fps didnt go up at all

That your GPU usage is jumping around seems very odd. Try removing your GPU and operating on the integrated graphics. What I'm looking for is not improved performance but improved smoothness.

Ooh... just had a thought: don't newer AMD drivers set up some sort of VRAM swapfile or cache on the HDD? Try disabling that. NOT the Windows page file.

how to disable that i don't know but i tried on integrated i played counter strike 1.6 and it had lower fps then before on league it was like 10 fps less but it didnt have that big fps drops on radeon r7 240 when game starts i have from 80-100 when we start to fight and minions come to lane fps drops to 60 and when we fight 40-50 and later on in the game fps is constantly 40-50 no matter where i am

Physically remove it from your PC.

Sorry, that's a little confusing. Could you please slow down and explain what frame rates you get and when you get them?
