pc sometimes freezes on bootup

got on overclocked i7, 1 time out of 20 it loads up windows 7 then just as the starting windows logo is displayed my system hangs, no BSOD just hangs there until i reset it. any ideas? bad overclock>?

Bad overclock would certainly would be my first guess. Have you tested it with IBT or prime? Might be worth reverting to stock for a while, see if it still happens.

if the reverting down to stock doesnt fix, unplug the optical drive, they can sometimes cause a hang or two.
