Hey guys.

Please offer me some specs for a basic 'Office PC'. I am really looking for something with Integrated graphics, etc so really low budget (about £200). Ideally, I would like a desktop case rather than a tower.

EDIT: I don't need Monitor, Keyboard, Mouse, Speakers or Operating System.

Cheers

What about this?

Would an Athlon X2 CPU be better than a Celeron? There's a 2.8GHz for £10 more than that Celeron.

AMD is a better option for bottom-end PCs, much better value!

I only tried to build the cheapest possible, how cheap can an AMD system be? Can it be done for under £200

I guess you could substitute with an Asus M4A785D-M Pro AMD 785G £58 and AMD Athlon II X2 Dual Core 245 £49 for a total of £234 in shipping?

Or use an E5300 at £53 with the likes of a Gigabyte GA-EG41MF-US2H for £57 and do a bit of OC'ing? Total in shipping £237

Edit, shopping elsewhere could save some more, for instance memory, Extra Value 2GB Kit (2x1GB) DDR2 800MHz PC2-6400 for £35.53 and AMD Sempron 140 for £27?

I think that's a bit overpriced for me. How about this:

replace the power supply to Antec Basic.
replace the case to Antec, the i suggested.
replace the poioneer dvdrw to samsung.

and see if you can try squeeze in more ram.

performance>looks!(as your case will probably be hidden anyway underneath desk)

Thanks for your comments.
I don't really like Samsung drives (had bad experiences with them previously) but I'll take note of the other suggestions :)

gave it another go. cheapest i could get that set. Its my personal desire to go intel, don't pay much attention to it if you don't like it. but i prefer it over amd when it comes to cpu's. 4gb ram and you can run that at 3ghz dual core np. will see you through most software's nicely. plus if you were to ever upgrade it, just buy a quad core(which will still work with that mobo) and slam in a graphic cards and bingo you got your self a decent pc.

oh and don't forget to replace the samsung to pioneer if you go for suggested bottom one :P
