a mate of mine needs a new gaming pc
he only needs a tower
doesnt need an OS, case or dvd drive

pretty much jus the bare essentials
mobo/cpu/cooler/psu/hdd/ram/gpu

he doesnt want a massive cooler as he isnt sure wether itl fit in his case but would also like to overclock his cpu a little

he has a budget of £700 no more

i5 2500k systems would be preferd unles theres something better you guys can come up with for his buget?

he said he already owns his case
*******

and the side intake fan is a little big so that a50 cooler wont fit

Jame's selection is good, I'd go with this

YOUR BASKET
1 x HIS HD 7850 IceQ X 2048MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card (H785QN2G2M) £184.99
1 x Intel Core i5-2500K 3.30GHz (Sandybridge) Socket LGA1155 Processor - Retail £173.99
1 x Crucial RealSSD M4 128GB 2.5" SATA 6Gb/s Solid State Hard Drive (CT128M4SSD2) £94.99
1 x Gigabyte Z77-D3H Intel Z77 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard £84.98
1 x Seagate Barracuda 7200RPM 1TB SATA 6Gb/s 64MB Cache - OEM (ST1000DM003) £74.99
1 x XFX Pro 450W Core Edition '80 Plus Bronze' Power Supply £41.99
1 x Corsair Vengeance Low Profile 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit (CML8GX3M2A1600C9) £39.95
Total : £707.88 (includes shipping : £10.00).

Prices have changed a little. And get a cooler later for overclocking. 128GB SSD. 7950 / better motherboard / PSU / 3570K / CPU cooler maybe without SSD, although SSDs are niiiice.
