Soo has anyone got any suggestions on how this could be improved or made cheaper? The motherboard is rather expensive but with the i7 i wanted the new z97 boards.

Or you can use a USB adapter.

Can you tell us what the PC is being used for please?
If it isn't going to be a gaming rig or running software that needs the compute power of an i7, it's vastly overspecced.
We can help you get a lot more for your money once you let us know what it will be used for.

it will mainly be used for office work, the reason we went the i7 route was just so its wont need upgrading for a while.

In that case just go with a i3 or a cheaper i5 which will be ample.
