Hi all,

I love gaming however im on a budget and have £650 to spend on a pc.

Im not to clued on with PCs and how to build them but i have a friend who has offered to help me. The thing is im thinking of buying the Overclockers pre built rig..

Intel Core 2 Quad Pro Q6600 2.40GHz Overclocked to 3.00GHz (1466FSB)
- Abit IP35 Pro XE (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard
- Corsair 2GB DDR2 XMS2 DHX PC2-6400C4DHX TwinX (2x1GB)
- NVIDIA GeForce 8800GT OC 512MB GDDR3 TV-Out/Daul DVI (PCI-Express) - Retail
- Corsair TX 650w SLI Power Supply
- Seagate Barracuda 7200.11 500GB SATA-II 32MB Cache
- Pioneer DVR-216DBK 20x DVD±RW SATA Dual Layer ReWriter (Black)

This is within my budget. The questions i have are;

Would this PC play all current games on max? or,
what would you reccomend for £650 i could buy if i was to ask a friend to make it?

Basically being not to clued on to PCs, im trying to get a feel if for£650 pre built could i play all new games on max or would buying the parts be a lot cheaper if i could find somone to make it.

Ress ive not even thought about that, so much to think of.

My current monitor only goes up to 1280x1024. Im hoping to get a new monitor in next 6 months.

So ive not a clue on ress, whats a decent ress for gaming> 1600?
