hi guys, am looking at building a new pc from scratch as my old one has finally died. I think ive got everything i need, the only thing i will be reusing from my old case is the cd drive. I just want to know if everything matches up and if i am getting the best value for the money. If poss are there any changes you would make to save a bit of cash without compromising performance.

thanks guys, would this mobo be better? Asus P5K Premium/WiFi-AP Intel P35 (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard

i need to get a wireless card anyway.

would this be a better ram choice, G.Skill 4GB DDR2 PQ PC2-6400C5 (2x2GB) CAS5 Dual Channel Kit (F2-6400CL5D-4GBPQ).

am a bit bewildered by the choice of ram at the moment :) which G.Skill one were you referring to?

edit: total: 798

would this: OcUK GeForce 8800 GTS 640MB GDDR3 HDTV/Dual DVI (PCI-Express) - Retail at £99.86

be a better choice than the BFG GeForce 8800 GT OC 512MB GDDR3 HDTV/Dual DVI (PCI-Express) - Retail
which is £135.11

i dont really see what you get for an extra £35

thanks

the 640mb is the old version, more power hungry and slower speeds.

ocuk will have a 1/2 yr guarantee, bfg will be lifetime.
